Susan is a Mayor of the People! Take a look at what the great people of Brampton are saying about their Mayor:

Comment: Dear Mayor Susan Fennel, I am a grade five student from Morton Way Public school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for coming to meet us when we had came to the Brampton City Hall and giving us your autograph. We were very happy when you had taken a picture with my class and that picture is in our November school newsletter of 2006. We have seen a lot of the prizes you have won. Our class was also thinking of inviting you to come to our school so we can interview you for our big film project we are doing which is sponsered by Panasonic. I really appreciate all the support you give to the community and today we will be supporting you to be the mayor of Brampton again. You have made a lot lives easier. I am sure you win this upcoming election and nobody can win over you. You have been a major supporter of Brampton and are fulfilling the commitment you have made. Unfortunately I am unable to vote even though I am citizen but I am not eighteen years old yet. I have approached all the people I know to vote for you. Keep up the passion, pride and spirit.
From: Anmol
Comment: Susan, thank you for your unwavering and passionate support of Carabram, Brampton's Multicultural Festival. The Board and pavilions appreciate all you have done to promote this premiere event of Brampton, which reflects the mosaic of the City. We look forward to your continued leadership of the City of Brampton and celebrating Carabram's 25th anniversary with us in 2007.
From: Angela Johnson

Comment: I have known Mayor Susan Fennell for 8 years now and can honestly say I haven't met anyone quite like her. She started the National Women's Hockey League in 1998 and has been a huge supporter of Women's Hockey ever since. When Mayor Susan Fennell says she is going to get something done it happens, and it happens fast. Her passion for the Brampton community is second to none!

Comment: Greetings Mayor Fennell and Councillor DiMarco; I just wanted to drop you a note and wish you the best of in the election. I voted in the advance poll last Saturday, and both of you had my support. I also wanted to let you know why. I acknowledge the support both of you have given to women in this city, especially CAW women. Both of you have taken time out of your busy schedules and family life to attend out Take Back The Night event at Gage Park and closest to my heart, the December 6th Commemoration of the Montreal Massacre at Gage Park. I can remember a few years back, when no one from City Council came, and as a constituent I was concerned that we had women in City Council that didn't care. In the past few years, you have shown us that you do. Thank you for that. As a past worker and Women's Advocate at the DaimlerChrysler Brampton Assembly Plant, and a proud member of CAW Local 1285, I have also appreciated your support of our workers and union in Brampton. I think you're both going to win this hands down. I've got to say that your signs look great! I live in a condo so I can't have a sign, or I would. Best of luck, and I hope you continue to support the CAW Women's Network at their events in Brampton in the future.

Comment: Dear Susan, I am so proud to live in Brampton and have such a supporting Mayor. You are a Mayor for the people and have shown it throughout the years, interacting with all. I have not been to one event in Brampton where you have NOT shown up for. You are great! Even though my three children are not old enough to vote, they have always been very supportive of you. They have worked hard delivering flyers and putting up signs for the last two campaigns. Loved when you dance with my family at the Legendary Cars show last summer. See you at the victory party.
From: Beth MacKenzie
Comment: Dear Madam Mayor, greetings! In March of this year I wrote to you with some concerns re: 'Brampton Spring Clean Up'. You did reply to me, and without getting into details...the feed back from you was positive, and there were positive results. I just want to take this time to congratulate you on the magnificent job you are doing for the City of Brampton. Within the past 4 years, this City has transformed into a world class City with a lot of visible improvements still in progress. My family and I thank you and I believe the citizens of this City should thank you as well. I want to assure you that I will be doing my part to ensure your return to office. I can also assure you that all capable voters in my household will be casting their ballots for you. Good luck in all your endeavors!

Comment: The progressive transformation of the City of Brampton on an industrial and social level can only have been accomplished by Mayor Susan Fennell’s great leadership. For her to be able to continue her good work, I will be sure to vote for her re-election.

La transformation progressive de la ville de Brampton au niveau industriel et social a été réalisée sous la direction de la mairesse Susan Fennell. Pour qu’elle soit capable de continuer son bon travail, je voterais pour sa réélection.

Comment: Hi! I'm a teenager living in Brampton. Unfortunately, I am unable to vote. Although, if I could vote, I would definately vote in Susan's favor. My parents and brother met you through a sports team that you came to support. My family and I aren't very involved in politics but we think you have done and will continue to do a great job. Thanks and good luck!!

Comment: I met Mayor Susan about four years ago when my husband and I joined the Mayors Spirit Team. We recieved free tickets to a Brampton Battalion game and if you went to the game you recieved tickets for a Brampton Thunder Game. So we went to the Battalion game and then the Brampton Thunder game. I am sorry to say before this I did not even know who the Brampton Thunder were. My husband and I sat watching the game when along came the Mayor and sat down in front of us. Mayor Fennell started giving us information about the team and womens hockey, from then we were hooked on womens hockey and am proud to say I am now the President of the Brampton Thunder Fan Club (Thunder Row). I have never seen a person with such enthusiasm and love for this city as I have in Susan Fennell. I wish her the best in this coming election and look forward to her serving as our Mayor for the next four years. Jean Redl

Comment: I feel Mayor Susan Fennell is doing a great job for the city of Brampton. What a welcoming site to see a beautiful flower garden on each major intersection of this fine city. I see improvements on the roads, to improve travel across town, our tax dollars at work. Some things that I know Mayor Fennell has implemented are The Brampton Spirit Team, the spring and fall city clean ups and the flower city parade. I like the feel of the small town atmosphere in a large city setting, such as a stroll down main street at the farmers market on Saturday mornings, meeting and greeting people, or going to Gage Park to one of the many events held there over the summer. Close to my heart is the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, where Mayor Fennell reminds us in Brampton it is a Merry Christmas and not a Happy Holiday. I believe there is no one better suited for the position of Mayor than Susan Fennell. Steve Redl - Brampton

Steve Redl, Brampton

Comment: Mayor Fennell is really in touch with this city, she knows what needs to be done and does it. Whenever there has been an issue needing addressed, Mayor Fennell took action after the very first email, and responded almost immediately saying something will be done. Although I've never met her in person (yet), I can tell that she has Brampton's best interests at heart. She's done so much for this city, and I can't wait to see what is planned for your third term in office.
From: Scott Mitchell
Comment: STRONG...STRONGER...STRONGEST - The first time Susan Fennell entered into a Mayoral elections campaign in 2000, she came in strong to win. The second time in her quest for re-election, she came in stronger and won by a wide margin. With this being her third electoral term as Mayor, we believe she will be returned with the strongest and most overwhelming margin of votes that she ever received. This is the general consensus and feelings expressed by the Brampton Filipino Seniors Club (BFSE) during our October meeting. Two significant accomplishments in her last term were the Rose Theatre and the recent award that was earned by reclaiming our heritage as the Flower City of Canada. Way to go Susan, just keep on going and going and going! Ben Ustaris - President, Brampton Filipino Seniors Club
From: Ben Ustaris
Comment: Susan Fennell has served the interests of the City of Brampton for many years and will undoubtedly return for another illustrious term as Mayor. I am proud to have the head office for the Kaneff Group of Companies located in the City of Brampton, one of the fastest growing communities in Canada. Mayor Fennell's long list of accomplishments during her term of office is impressive. They span the cultural, with the opening of the Rose Theatre, to the economic, with Brampton's now debt free status. The Mayor's unique development cap of 5,500 residential units per year has led to a more efficient and orderly approach to development. Brampton Communities are better planned and Mayor Fennell is ensuring concurrent development to infrastructure in order to accomodate these communities. Susan Fennell is a candidate with deep commitment to her City and through her tireless efforts has made Brampton a place that both residents and businesses are proud to call home. Iggy Kaneff

Comment: I have known Susan for the last four years, I can tell you honestly that there is no one that works harder or cares more than Mayor Fennel! With her as Mayor, Susan makes Brampton a great place to live. Keep up the great work for four more years!

Comment: I will never forget July 11, 1995, the day I met with a few representatives at the former Mayor of Brampton’s office for a small issue. During this meeting I felt as if I was being ignored by everyone. However, there was only one person who paid attention to what I was saying and tried to help me (at that time she was the Regional Councillor). She is none other than the Hon. Mayor Susan Fennell. Susan is a very supportive person and takes pride in helping citizens of the City of Brampton. In spite of her busy schedule, Susan has always taken the time to listen and is always willing to help others. Her ambition and courage makes Susan Fennell an excellent leader. Susan’s ongoing efforts in maintaining safe and better living in the Flower City that is the City of Brampton is highly appreciative. As a result of her willingness to help others, I have been supporting her in the past, the present, and hope to do so in the future as well. May God bless Mayor Susan Fennell and help her maintain the figure of a strong leader representing the City of Brampton.

Comment: As a Brampton resident, I have seen the positive impact Mayor Fennell has had on this community. Susan has an incredible energy and passion for anything she believes in. She believes in this community and its citizens. I want to reside in a city where people are proud of their community, and there is no better leader than Susan Fennell for the City of Brampton. Let's make sure she leads us passionately for the next four years!

Comment: Dear Susan, I have lived in Brampton for 25 years, and never have I seen such support, vision and energy portrayed by a mayor such as yourself. You have done a superb job over the last few years, given the demands that are placed on you every day. As many others, I have also had the pleasure of knowing you for almost 10 years now. You have been a great supporter and promoter of many sports and teams in Brampton. Susan, you have supported me in not only my sporting endeavours, but also in my career as an Athletic Therapist, and I want to thank-you. Susan is very active in the community, and takes pride in everything she does. She works hard, listens, and her tiresless efforts are well worth the recognition. Susan, I think you have done a wonderful job in many aspects of your responsibilities to the City Of Brampton, and I will continue to support your every effort to continue to make Brampton a great city to live in. All the best. Kirsten

Comment: I have had the great pleasure of knowing Mayor Susan for eight years. I met Susan when she had a vision to make women's hockey a well respected and professional sporting event in Brampton. I have seen the work that Susan has put into elevating the standard of the game, she has been tireless in her effort and we have all reaped the benefit of her dedication and vision. Susan puts her heart and soul into everything and the results are astonishing! Thank you Mayor Fennell for bringing such an elite group of women athletes to Brampton and for being a tremendous advocate for women in sport in every capacity. I wish you tremendous success and am behind you 100% of the way. Donnie

Comment: I endorse Susan Fennell wholeheartedly and am looking forward to the future of Brampton.Being Mayor is always a difficult role, with many offsetting views and ideas. Susan has been courageous in acting as a fulcrum and calmly leading Council and citizenry. We are very fortunate to have her as Mayor.

Comment: As the Chairman of the Mayors Roundtable on the Central Corridor I can attest to Mayor Fennells commitment to making Brampton a livable, independent city. She understands the importance of ensuring that Brampton develops as a community to which people feel connected. It is a tough task given the draw of Toronto but the Mayor wants people to have a sense of belonging, and she is up to the task. Not only has Mayor Fennell supported and indeed pushed for the important redevelopment that has taken place in the downtown, she has a vision of the entire central corridor, including more activity in the downtown, that when implemented will make Bramptonians proud of their city. She also knows how to enlist and support volunteers to assist in the implementation of her vision. I am proud to be one of the volunteers and very grateful that I have been given the opportunity to be part of the City building activities of Mayor Fennell.
From: Bob Nutbrown - Chairman Of The Mayors Roundtable On The Develpment Of The Downtown And Queen St Corridor
Comment: As the President of Branch 15 of the Royal Canadian Legion, I have had the opportunity of working closely with Mayor Susan Fennell. Her attentiveness, caring concern for Veterans and understanding of the people's needs in Brampton are unparalleled and I whole-heartedly support her in her bid for re-election as Mayor in the City of Brampton. Comment: November 1, 2006 - As a resident of the City of Brampton since 1988, I am proud to say that I am a supporter of Mayor Susan Fennell. The instant she became Mayor, you could feel a sense of optimism return to the residents of Brampton. Under her leadership and with the support of Council, Brampton has recaptured its Flower Town heritage and witnessed the construction of the spectacular Rose Theatre. As a business person, I appreciate and have confidence in Mayor Fennell’s ability to understand and manage complex administrative and fiscal matters. In the future, as the population and employment base of Brampton continues to grow, it will become increasingly important to have at our disposal the strong leadership that Mayor Susan Fennell provides. On November 13, 2006 I will be pledging my continued support for Mayor Susan Fennell.

Comment: Susan Fennel is an Excellent Leader. Two years back I moved to a new community in Brampton. I send a mail to The Mayor asking for a Bus Stop. She Replied to me same day. Within 2 weeks Bus stop became ready.

Comment: Susan has done a great job for the City of Brampton. Her tireless effort and enthusiasm for all things Brampton is exactly what the City needs. Comment: "....Mayor Susan Fennell will be returned perhaps even with a larger majority than in 2003. In truth, she has done a good job for Brampton and deserves support from the public."
From: Terry Miller - (Brampton Guardian Editorial - Nov. 20/06)
Comment: "The mayor of Brampton was a guest on my radio show last week, and I was impressed. In a province that seems to breed boring politicians, she's a real breath of fresh air. She's as subtle as a punch in the face and as determined as a dog on a big, fat, meaty bone. And she's exactly what Brampton needs."
From: John Derringer - DJ, Classic Rock Q107 (Quote From The Toronto Sun - Oct. 26/04)
Comment: Susan has impacted many lives since she has become Mayor, including mine! I had the opportunity of running against her in 2000 and since that time, my life has changed dramatically. I have her to thank for that! Susan's inclusiveness, attitude, and principles are to be cherrished, as there aren’t many people who would be capable of bringing former adversaries into the fold on both a professional and personal level. She instils confidence in me and any project that I undertake, is always willing to assist me with sound advice and more than anything else, she provides me with personal self-worth. I could never have attained the education I have in life from an academic standpoint, that I have gained from being involved in the many opportunities that she has provided me with. In 2000 when she was elected Mayor, she removed the shackles of the residents of Brampton and invited us to join her in her quest of leading Brampton into the future. The journey has begun and we have taken all of the right steps so far. If we are smart, we will continue on, showing her our support as we move forward, toward progress and prosperity. I am privileged to be able to call her my friend and Mayor of the City of Brampton.

Comment: Hi Susan, I would like to thank you for taking the time, to make certifictaes, for my Grandaughter and the rest of her baseball team, they fought so hard to win Gold for Brampton, and the certictaes were the iceing on the cake, and the fact that you signed them yourself, just shows what kind of a person you are, my Daughter is a single Mom and does her best to make sure that Kendra is in sports all year long, now its Ice Hockey, but she has been picked up again for baseball, can't wait she is the catcher, and she has your picture in a frame, I cant thank you enough, these kids needs all the inspiation they can get, I believe in sports, keep the kids active and they wont have time to play in the streets, and good luck with your election, I really hope you do well, pulling for you Regards Margaret

Comment: Being a citizen of Brampton for nearly 30 years I can tell you Susan has made a HUGE IMPACT on every member of my family. From my brothers and I who love her passion for sports and the great job Susan has done with the Transit system - before Susan there was no bus that would take you to a Brampton Battalion Hockey Game now there is...also now you can travel on the system much later on Saturday nights and get around much better on Sundays too. My father loves the support that Susan has given to the The William Osler Health Centre Foundation Heart Walk and Family Day. He also loves the input that Susan has made to the new Hospital. My mother loves Susan's fun and outgoing spirit. Susan is a woman with a great memory, she never misses a beat. When Susan was introduced to my mother on the Family walk this year. Susan turned to my mother and commented on who she had remembered meeting my mother on Canada day at Chinguacousy Park. Mom was impressed and said being a town Mayor Susan meets so many people and to remember someone after just meeting them once is truly amazing. SUSAN IS A MAYOR WITH A BIG HEART FOR THE PEOPLE OF BRAMPTON! I am proud to be able to call her "FRIEND"

Comment: As 'Champion of the Arts', Mayor Susan Fennell understands two very important issues: 1 - the state of music, art and entertainment serves as a barometer for the overall cultural success of a city in transition and; 2- music, art and entertainment ar not frills but powerful economic engines for the re-development of Brampton's historic downtown. Under her leadership, the City, the BSO and Rose Theatre have become a single voice with a simple message - Brampton deserves the very best when it comes to human expression through the performing arts. With Mayor Susan Fennell as our 'Champion' for years to come, Brampton will most assuredly receive recognition on the international stage. On behalf of the BSO Board, Management, Players, Volunteers and a grateful community, I wish to thank the BSO's greatest supporter, our Mayor Susan Fennell to whom I am honoured to offer this testimonial.

Comment: Mayor Fennell has always been active in the Brampton Community. I see her at the market, theatre, Carabram and numerous summer and community events. Her energy and enthusiasm is exactly what Brampton needs. She is the obvious choice for Mayor!

Comment: The Love and Admiration for Susan Fennell is overpowering because of her Passion for People and especially for the Citizen's of Brampton. She is a TRUE LEADER that comes straight from the heart and brings HARMONY amongst the citizens and their environment, said Jai Naraine who is an Engineer and Local Businessman that has been a resident of Brampton for over 25 years and is a devout Susan Fennell Admirer.

Comment: Thank you for your swift action regarding the ski hill last year! The old lift was broken and it appeared the ski season would be lost, when you took the bull by the horns and called the carpet lift supplier personally and expedited the order, bringing the matter to Council for urgent approval. Your innate ability to get things done saved the day and my kids got in a full and wonderful ski season at Ching Park.

Comment: Dear Mayor Fennell: Just dropping a note to tell you how very happy my husband and I are having moved to your beautiful, friendly city a year ago. This city is amazing!!! For many reasons. So many, I don't know where to begin.... First and foremost are the people here. Citizen's and businessmen and women alike are friendly, welcoming, helpful, positive and kind. Wherever we go, we are greeted with smiles and cheerful conversation, not just a business transaction attitude. Most are fun and funny, and truly enlightening and always eager to give a little more than is necessary. On top of that, is the visuals of this place. I cannot believe the amount of parks, trails, gardens, and green space that you have implemented in Brampton. And how clean and well maintained they are. I believe it may be in part responsible for why people are happy here. Even the city development I notice takes into consideration what can be built where. Which is really rare nowadays with the idea that anything can be bought for the right price. This city has not fallen into that mindset. Thankfully!! Still more, is the amount of events that are available at such low cost or free even. Anything going is so affordable, really geared to getting everyone out to enjoy themselves. Brampton is a user friendly, dictionary definition of the word, COMMUNITY. And my husband and I are extremely proud to call ourselves a part of it. So our hats' off to you and your support staff on every level. You've made Brampton a place that we are very proud to call home.

Comment: Good afternoon... I would just like to say thank you for attending my grandma's funeral.. My grandma thought the world of you and we were honoured that you came. When she was organizing her 90th birthday she asked me to call your office to get the birthday certificate and she said to me... "The mayor will come herself to deliver it. She's such a great lady" I scanned the pictures that we had at the funeral home and thought I'd share this one with you... Thank you again.

Comment: Dear Mayor Fennell, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and, council on the wonderful job you all do. I would like to begin by saying what a great idea having implemented a " DEVELOPMENT CAP" I reside at Wanless and Van Kirk and the natural beauty surrounding the sub-division is breath taking to say the least. The tranquility, lack of high rises and traffic at a minimum has made it the ideal location for me and my family…. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location to anyone and everyone based on the above attributes. Keep up the good work!!!!! P.S. GOOD LUCK IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION MY VOTE IS WITH YOU 100%!!!!!!
